Controls & Key Bindings

What the demo actually lets you change — and the answers to the most common control questions players have. Yes, there's lock-on. Yes, you can rebind everything.

Quick answers to the FAQs

  • Lock-on exists — “Target Lock On/Off”, with a Switch Target control.
  • Full rebinding — every action takes a primary and a secondary key, with Reset to Defaults.
  • Crosshair and the whole HUD can be toggled off.
  • Crouch (and similar) can be set to Hold, Toggle or Press.

Controller schemes

Beyond fully custom key bindings, the controller has five preset schemes if you'd rather not remap by hand:

SchemeIdea
DefaultThe standard layout.
ClassicA more traditional Souls-style mapping.
Dodge / Block SwapSwaps the dodge and block buttons.
Bumper JumperMoves jump to a bumper to keep the stick free for camera.
Bumper Jumper 2An alternate bumper-jumper variant.

Controller icons can be themed for Xbox Series, PlayStation 5 or Nintendo, including DualSense and Joy-Con / Pro Controller.

Every action below appears in the keyboard binding list and can be reassigned. (The demo exposes the action names; the exact default key for each isn't in the data we extract, so check in-game for the live defaults.)
