Amber Synergies
You only run a handful of Ambers at once, so the picks have to pull in the same direction. Here's how the gems group by playstyle and which combinations reinforce each other.
Ambers by role
Most Ambers fall into one of a few jobs. Some pull double duty — a life-steal gem is both sustain and a reason to stay aggressive — so a few appear under more than one heading.
Melee aggression
Trade safety for raw output and stay in the enemy's face. These reward dealing damage — and punish you for sitting back.
- Glass Soldier — Increase Melee damage dealt at the cost of more damage taken.
- Perfectionism — Increase damage dealt when your Health is full.
- Butcher's Carnage — Gain Health by striking enemies with Melee Attacks. You can no longer use Ferrofluid Flasks for healing.
Sustain & regen
Ways to put Health back on the bar — passively, on hit, or on a clean Critical Attack.
- Wound that Heals — Slowly regenerate lost Health over time.
- Dominatus — Restore Health when performing Critical Attacks.
- Butcher's Carnage — Gain Health by striking enemies with Melee Attacks. You can no longer use Ferrofluid Flasks for healing.
- Life Diverted — Ferrofluid Flasks now restore Nephtoglobin instead of Health. A portion of damage dealt by Transmutations is siphoned back, replenishing your Health.
Transmutation economy
Nephtoglobin is the fuel a Transmutation build burns. These keep it topped up so you can keep casting.
- Life Diverted — Ferrofluid Flasks now restore Nephtoglobin instead of Health. A portion of damage dealt by Transmutations is siphoned back, replenishing your Health.
- Bottomless Well — Slowly regenerate lost Nephtoglobin over time.
Firearms & weak points
Precision tools for a gun-first playstyle — buy aim time, then make every weak point count.
- Dilated Moment — Holding Aim with a firearm slows the perception of time at the cost of Stamina and lower Firearms damage.
- Volatile End — Destroying an enemy's Weak Point causes a damaging explosion.
Proven combos

Berserker, kept honest
Glass Soldier + Perfectionism + DominatusGlass Soldier and Perfectionism both pay out for hitting hard — but Glass Soldier makes every hit you take hurt more, and Perfectionism only triggers at full Health. Dominatus restores Health on Critical Attacks, so a parry into a crit refreshes both your buffer and the full-Health damage bonus. The aggression loop funds itself.

Butcher's Carnage + Glass SoldierButcher's Carnage heals you from melee hits but turns off flask healing — so it pairs naturally with Glass Soldier, where the answer to higher incoming damage is simply to keep swinging. Staying on the offensive is how you stay alive; backing off is what gets you killed.

Life Diverted + Bottomless WellFor a Transmutation build, Life Diverted reroutes your Ferrofluid Flasks into Nephtoglobin and siphons Health back from the damage your Transmutations deal, while Bottomless Well trickles Nephtoglobin back on its own. Between the two you rarely run dry mid-fight, and your healing comes from casting rather than flasking.

Dilated Moment + Volatile EndDilated Moment slows time while you aim, buying the window to line up a weak-point shot; Volatile End turns each destroyed weak point into a damaging explosion. It's a precision package, not a DPS one — Dilated Moment lowers your Firearms damage and drains Stamina while aimed, so the payoff is in placement.

Two Ambers rewrite your Ferrofluid Flasks
Butcher's Carnage turns off flask healing entirely, and Life Diverted converts your flasks into Nephtoglobin. With either equipped, your flask is no longer an emergency heal button — plan your sustain around its replacement (melee life-steal or Transmutation siphon). Run both and you have no flask healing at all.
Perfectionism wants the full-Health you keep losing
Perfectionism only pays out at full Health, and Glass Soldier makes you take more damage — a deliberate high-risk pair. If you run them together, bring a heal (Dominatus, Wound that Heals or Butcher's Carnage) or the damage bonus will rarely be live.
Two Ambers we can't read yet
Potent Concoction and Equivalent Exchange have no effect text in this build, so they aren't placed above — we won't guess what they do. If you've seen them in-game, they'll slot into the roles once the text is recovered.
